I cannot wait to start my new job at Pitt. I've been out of school for too long. Almost 2 years. Financial issues and just plain laziness led me there - but that's about to change.
Monday, April 11th, I start as an Integrated Security Technician at Pitt Oakland. The benefits are phenomenal - and I cannot wait to get back to my education. I have 30 credits left, and then it's off to grad school and/or law school. I always wanted to go, but I was afraid that I wouldn't ever be able to afford it. Now I can!
It seems that opportunities like this come around once in a life time. 3% cost for undergraduate credits, 10% for graduate credits - hell, I may even turn working for Pitt into a career. It's funny that when you ask your employers for a raise it's not possible - then when they find out you are leaving, they basically offer you an 8$ an hour raise. Typical.
Nicole and I can finally move out of Wilkinsburg, probably into Lawrenceville. We found some awesome designer lofts that are reasonably priced. No more of this tiny apartment crap.
